summer lovin' had me a blast

holy cow.
it is july.
when did june happen?
i suppose this week will be my catch up week and i will let you know what precisely happened to june.
heat.
popsicles.
water.
best friends.

nikson has a little girlfriend.
don't tell all the others, but this one is special.
her name is suzie and she is a sweetie.
she has spent some time over at our house and we have loved every second with her.

suz likes to say her prayers.
all day long.

nikson thinks she is great.

swimming.

this is the look of a freezing cold babes who was not too happy about getting out of the pool.
today the little had his first swimming lesson.
it was AWESOME.
he loves being in the water and loved having a teacher tell him to splash his mom and blow bubbles in the water.
its going to be a great summer.

a boy named finn

over the weekend we got to spend some time with this little wonder.
oh how i love him.
i love his little cry, and his chubby cheeks.
i can't wait for him to be a little older and him and the little can run around and make mischief of one kind or another.
i love me some finn.

the spring turned into summer.

this weekend just happened to be one of the best weekends.
long walks in the park,
firepit, smores, good company,
and lots of the little getting really dirty.
i love that this weather lets me put him in a onesie.
he always looks like a disaster.
don't judge, i am a mother who loves her baby.

another exciting thing happened this weekend...
no we didn't get another pooch!
Lucy, the almost fox, came to stay with us while my best friend brought this little guy into the world.
we are so so so so so so so so so so so excited!

Nikson got to meet him last night and he patted his head and kissed him.
now every time i show him Finn he smiles really big and starts to wiggle.
they will have wonderful adventures.

Oh What Do You Do in The Summertime?

My sister Nat and her cute kiddos came up for the day yesterday. We decided to head over to Liberty Park. Natalie just thought the park was a playground with a lot of grass. Boy was she surprised. Swimming, Tennis, Paddle Boats, Splash Pad, Lunch, Mini Carnival. You name it! Nikson of course loved the water. Plus we had to have a reason to show off the steal swimmung trunks I got at Janie and Jack. So cute!

And what have you three dears been up to?

Up to? Up to? Up to? Name that movie! Alright loves, I seriously think that it is unfair to judge a mother of being obsessed after they have had a child. Let's think about it logically...I have a permanent companion. He is always with me. And if he isn't with me than my chest is reminding me of him. That's just how it goes now a'days. I love every bit of it. Our friends even are in baby mode so it actually works out quite nicely. We always have something to talk about! So I will post of the baby, and hopefully soon I will get around to posting the nursery.

Nikson is so much fun right now. He is SO smiley, I can't quite get enough. The best is when Blake gets home, so cute! They just talk to each other and laugh. How does someone so little know so much? Hmmm. Explain it to me. This baby was made for warm weather although his birth date would prove otherwise. He loves being outside. We sit outside and roast marshmallows, play in the water, and lightly bounce on the trampoline and he is all smiles. Makes the summer even more exciting!

The boy also loves his sleepy time. I love it a little too. Mostly because he is just so darn cute.
