So May brings a lot of goodness to my life. Blake and I have our birthdays a week apart, we are the same age for a whole week! So instead of celebrating a birthday, we celebrate birthday week. It was a total blast. Blake's birthday party was at his aunts' pool and we got to swim, play baseball, and I even surprised him with a Halo night with some of his "besties". It is always fun when we hang with Blake's friends because Natalie(one of his friends and his friend's wife) and I are really good friends so we have a blast! For my birthday Blake and I drove up Little Cottonwood canyon and had kababs and hiked up to this awesome waterfall. We laid on this big "slanty" rock and just watched it fall. I love these little moments with him. It doesn't matter what is going on, how stressed we are, or how tired, we still have the best time. Blake then bought me tickets to fly out to Colorado which ended up being totally awesome! Tanna picked us up at the airport and we drove to a campsite to surprise everyone for Drake's birthday. Camping was fun and freezing. We wakeboarded that morning. I was definitely a little rusty, but Blake can jump the wake like a champ!!! Then went and surprised my mom. Her face was classic. She was in total surprise and just hugged us both! Oh I loved it. My mom and I definitely needed some quality time together. I don't know why but we both needed a little mother/daughter dosage.
We got to hang with the fam a lot and Blake got in some more practice with the camera! Birthdays come but once a year, but I am grateful for a darling fiance who treats his lady right! We had a blast and I am grateful we got to go!
I am so glad that you guys had fun in Colorado and that it was worth it. I hope all the rest of your birthday was also fun.
